Can you use hairspray as a fixative?

It is possible to use hairspray as a fixative for your drawings, but make sure you buy a hairspray that doesn't contain any of the following:

Medium: colored pencils (Prismacolor)

Medium: pastel sticks (Faber-Castell Polychromos) and pastel pencils (Faber-Castell Pitt, Bruynzeel and Koh-i-noor Gioconda)
Colors: 3 different cool grays, brown-black, cream, light orange, orange-yellow, chocolate brown, redbrown, two different pinks and light blue (eyes and tongue).
